Tiny maroon fungus on deadwood

Found this today on a dead stem (think it was blackthorn but didn't really look) down by the river (damp grassland/woodland edge). Any ideas?!

    This is possibly Ascocoryne sarcoides or A.cylichium which look similar but different microscopy. Growing on the wood and pushing through moss!
