03/11/17 Tremella sp. I had hoped was the lesser recorded one, my microscopy skills (not good) seemed to show it was the common one. |

This skink horn lasted well over a month. Maybe due to the cold weather? Normally they are gone in a few days. |

Thanks Emily -- I had not looked at Blog for a few days -- a splendid lot.
ReplyDelete1)Lycoperdon sp I think perlatum -- a group of spines meet at a point but none have rubbed off so 'pearl' pattern does not show. 2)? 3)T steidleri -- is this from same Sandbanks log? 4) slime Physarum sp. I don't see polycephalum on Brit list (Australia and USA) but I do not know these so ??? Ing says the plasmodial stage will ingest bacteria, protozoans, yeasts, algal cells and sometimes fungal mycelia. I think these are eating stuff on surface of fungus rather than the Tremella. Good picture. 9,10)a huge ring (? a pic of gills/stipe might help). Could this be Clitocybe nebularis? 13) what a long stipe for Leotia lubrica! 14)this is fascinating1 I don't think black like a Geoglossum but ? Microglossum viride or even Leotia atrovirens. Find it again for microscopy! 20,21) I think the oysterling is Sarcomyxa (Panellus) serotina as the cap has that greenish tinge. A good collection --- others might have ideas.
