Sun shining, bright blue skies and surrounded by beautiful autumn colours - it can only go downhill from here on in!
The most eye-catching find of the day was a group of Shaggy Scalycap, Pholiota squarrosa, clumped at the base of a cherry tree in the castle car-park:

Scraping the barrel with this poor guy, only picked it because I hadn't seen anything else for about 20 mins. But the spores showed it was very likely Weeping Widow, Lacrymaria lacrymabunda.
